Replacement parts

Replacement parts, 3D printed in Rexburg

When a knob, clip, bracket, or cover breaks and nobody sells it anymore, we can usually print a new one. Send us a link to a model of your part, or have us design one from your photos and measurements.

A printed knob, clip, and bracket replacing worn appliance parts

Parts we print

The small plastic pieces that always break first

If the rest of the thing still works, one broken part shouldn't mean buying a new one.

Appliance knobs & dials

Washer, dryer, and microwave knobs that cracked, stripped, or lost their markings. Stove and oven knobs need a heat-resistant material, available as a Custom print.

Clips, latches & tabs

Cabinet latches, lid clips, and the little plastic tabs that snap off first.

Brackets & mounts

Shelf supports, light-duty wall mounts, and brackets for things that never came with spares.

Covers & caps

End caps, vent covers, and replacement covers for tools and electronics.

Car interior trim

Trim clips, cup holder pieces, and small interior parts the dealership no longer stocks. Parts that sit in the sun need a heat-resistant material, available as a Custom print.

Furniture & household

Furniture feet, chair glides, blind brackets and end caps, and organizer pieces.

How it works

From broken part to working part

  1. 1

    Find a model

Search Printables, Thingiverse, or MakerWorld for your part. Try the brand and model number, or a description like "dryer knob."

  2. 2

    Get a quote

Send us the link and we'll quote it once we've checked that its license lets us print it for you. No model? We can design one as a Custom print.

  3. 3

    Print and pick up

We print it in PLA unless you've requested another material, check it over, and you pick it up in Rexburg or ask about delivery.

Materials for parts

PLA by default, other materials on request

Most parts print great in PLA. If yours needs to handle heat, sun, flexing, or heavy wear, these are the options.

PLA

Most parts

Indoor knobs, covers, caps, and light-duty clips and brackets. Our default for replacement parts.

PETG

Heavy wear

Snap-fit clips, latches, and parts that need to bend without breaking.

TPU

Needs to flex

Furniture feet, bumpers, gaskets, and grommets.

ASA

Heat and sun

Car interior trim, stove knobs, and outdoor parts that sit in the sun.

More about ASA

PLA works for any print. PETG, TPU, and ASA are available on request as a Custom print.

Straight answers

Parts we don't print

3D printing is a great fit for a lot of parts, but not these.

  • Parts that keep someone safe, like child car seat, seat belt, airbag, brake, steering, or ladder parts
  • Baby and kids' gear like cribs, high chairs, strollers, and gates, plus battery doors on anything with coin batteries
  • Parts that hold or cover live wiring, like outlet boxes, lamp sockets, or charger housings
  • Mounts that hold a TV or other heavy weight overhead
  • Medical and mobility equipment, like walker, wheelchair, or CPAP parts
  • Parts that sit next to a burner, an engine, or other high heat
  • Pressurized plumbing, gas, or air fittings
  • Parts that touch food or drinks, like blender jars, lids, or mixer beaters

For those, get the part from the manufacturer, or ask a mechanic, plumber, or other pro.

Replacement parts FAQ

Questions about replacement parts

Do you sell parts for 3D printers?
No. We print replacement parts for everyday things like appliances, furniture, cars, tools, and electronics. We don't sell 3D printer parts like nozzles, belts, or hotends.
What should I send you?
First, search Printables, Thingiverse, or MakerWorld for a model of your part. If you find one, paste the link in the quote form and we'll check that its license lets us print it for you. If there isn't one, tell us what broke, what it came from, and its brand and model number, and we can quote designing it as a Custom print. When we email you back, reply with photos from a few angles with a ruler or tape measure in the shot.
Will a printed part be as strong as the original?
Often, for knobs and covers. Clips and brackets depend on the load. Printed parts are weakest between layers, so we orient each print with that in mind. If your part needs something tougher than PLA, you can request PETG, TPU, or ASA as a Custom print.
Can you make a part if there's no model for it?
Usually, as a Custom print. We design a replacement from your photos and measurements, and for parts that need a precise fit we may ask to borrow the original. Custom includes a round of test-fit revisions for parts that need to fit just right.
How much does a replacement part cost?
It depends on whether a model already exists, how big the part is, and which material it needs. Most parts print in PLA, which fits a Basic or Advanced print when you send a model file. If you want PETG, TPU, or ASA, or need us to design the part, it's a Custom print. Every job gets a free quote with the exact price before anything prints. See pricing for what Basic, Advanced, and Custom prints include.
